I have been blessed with an amazing group of like-minded friends. Every year, we have an Advent swap, where we make enough items collectively for our children to open one gift on each day leading up to Christmas. This has become such an anticipated tradition, that this year we decided to create items for an Autumn Nature Table Swap!
Late in the summer, I found a pattern for tiny knitted acorns
here at Pea Soup. They're quick to make, and very satisfying!
Adorable!! We'd love to have you link up to Crafty Friday and share your fiber arts.

What a wonderful idea, and a great way to get together with some creative friends! You've given me some great ideas for Christmas :o)
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable!! I can't wait for my knitting skills to improve!!
ReplyDeleteLove them! Linda over at Natural Suburbia also has a great acorn pattern. I'm thinking I should make a few. I love acorns and this would give me a chance to work with small needles.
ReplyDeleteI love the advent idea too. That is a lovely gift you and your friends are giving each other and the children. Thank you for sharing.
Andrea
darling..
ReplyDeleteMiddling and Youngest Son have been busily playing with their wonderful additions to the nature table. It's a delight to behold the two of them utterly absorbed in it. Your adorable acorn keeps getting attached to a branch that Middling stole from the gnomes' firepit. She's just determined to have that acorn on a tree.
ReplyDeleteMuch love...
I love the Advent idea, that is amazing:) An Autumn swap sounds wonderful, off to have a look:)

How sweet! I know just the little girl I am going to make some of these for. I made her an artist tote with a real acorn for the button and she loved it so I really think she Must have some of these too.
