  1. Do you call it soccer or football in Canada? I am looking forward to being here in France during the world cup next year. Normally we root for Italy but now that we are living in France....

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. We call it soccer, but my husband, who grew up in England, calls it football!
I didn't know you'd moved to France! I have NO time to follow blog these days. I spent time there as a teenager and LOVED it (the bread, the wine, the pastries, the weight gain! Lol)

  3. What a great moment! My husband played soccer all the way through high school and he would love for our girls to play too! I just wish the team they'd be on didn't have practice so early on a Saturday!

Our moment this week comes from my girls first time marching in a parade. I simply said: "Girls look over here!" and that's the way they stood! Couldn't have planned it better if I wanted to!

  4. What a beautiful header image...I just love those little knees. A perfect moment too. Good to see girls playing soccer too, although we call it football over here.

    1. By 'over here' do you mean the UK? Do girls still not play there? Our older kids love it...in Canada, it's hockey or skiing in the winter, and soccer or softball in the summer! We prefer soccer, of course!

  9. last summer after 19 consecutive years with 6 children playing soccer I FINALLY had a summer with no after work rush to commute home, grab a meal and fly out for another commute to games or practice. No trying to figure out how to get four children to three different fields an hour apart with only two people able to drive.
I usually loose 10 pounds each summer. I always wondered why.
Last year was the first year I maintained my weight.
Who knew being a soccer mom was such an incredible diet plan?

  10. First lesson: learn to sit quietly and listen to the coach! :) Looks like they are doing a great job.
