the handsome, the cute, the evil, the hairy, and the ugly (but wise)

The latest peg figures to come out of my kitchen is this set of Star Wars characters for Jude's friend's birthday party. Inspired by images of the real characters, and peg dolls I found on the internet, I'm happy with how they turned out, although C3P0 is a bit of a fail. There's something about the spacing of his features that is hard to capture on a round head. I'll keep working on it, as Jude has requested a set of his own!

  1. I think they turned out great! I made a Darth Vader for the boys once. My next trick - if I ever find the pegs I sketched on - will be to make a couple of Doctors (from Doctor Who) - my boys are obsessed.

  2. So fun! I love this idea, did you saw off the head of a small doll for R2D2?

    1. Yes! My husband's idea, I'll admit! It worked well...just sanded off the "stump".

  7. Hi! Would you please share where get your peg dolls here in Canada / Ontario? I am having a hard time finding an online source that doesn't charge crazy shipping. Thanks!
Oh - and I think you nailed C3PO!

    1. Hi, Gem,
I order them from www.stockade.ca They ship really quickly and I find the shipping reasonable (I find it best to order a LOT at a time; they drop the price the more you order!)
